**Job description**

We are looking for a Skilled Arborists to provide support and assistance to the Carrying out tree and vegetation maintenance work, and rail activities on rail infrastructure.

**As an Arborist you will be expected to**:
Liaise and maintain good relationship with the client’s representative, enforcement authorities and the general public.

Ensure that all work sites and area’s used by CCS are left in a clean and tidy manor

Ability to work well in a team and with all members of the Cleshar and external stakeholders

Physically fit to meet the physical demands of working on track

Willingness to work nights or days depending on projects. Some weekend work maybe required due to the nature of our 24/7-365 day operations

Good communication and presentation skills

Good people skills to work across a diverse multi-ethnic environment

To be professional and present a positive and keen image at all times

Minimum valid personal track safety and track induction competence

Sentinel sponsorship validation and understanding of relevant rule book sections and Cleshar Employee Agreements

**You will require the following**:
Sentinel

Basic Track Awareness (BTA)

Manual Handling

Strimmer/Brushcutter & Hedgetrimmer

Chainsaw Basic Maintenance & Cross Cutting (CS30 or equivalent

Chainsaw Basic Felling Techniques up to 200mm Diameter (CS31 or equivalent)

Chainsaw Felling up to 380mm Diameter (CS32 or equivalent)

Use a Chainsaw from a Rope & Harness (CS39 or equivalent)

Chainsaw Pruning Operations (CS40 or equivalent)

Chainsaw Dismantling Operations (CS41 or equivalent)

**Desirable Skills**:
Chainsaw Felling & Processing Trees Over 380mm Diameter (CS33 or equivalent)

Climb Trees & Perform Aerial Rescue (CS38 or equivalent)

First Aid

Sharps Awareness

Wood Chipper Trained
