**Supervising Social Worker - Outstanding IFA**
An Outstanding Independent Fostering Agency are seeking a Supervising Social Worker to provide support, supervision and guidance to foster cares in Oxfordshire and Swindon. This is a permanent, full time position that will mostly be home based and travelrequired to the Agency's regional offices in Gloucestershire a few times a month.
The Service achieved Outstanding across all areas in their most recent OFSTED. They offer a working environment that is supportive and reflective, with social workers having regular supervision with the experienced Registered Fostering Manager. As a well-establishedand large service there is scope to be able to progress your career (for example to Advanced Practitioner or even Team Manager), and a bespoke, integrated therapeutic model underpins Social Work practice.
As a Supervising Social Worker you will hold a manageable case load of around 12 foster families; completing annual reviews, carrying out unannounced visits and participating in the agency's duty rota. You will also facilitate and support foster carer traininggroups and join the agency's out of hours rota.
To be considered you must hold a Social Work Degree or equivalent and be able to evidence previous experience of working directly with foster carers, either within an Independent Fostering Agency or Local Authority Fostering Team. As travel to fosteringhouseholds will be required a full driving licence is required.
