We have an exciting and rare opportunity to become a cctv operator in our control room. You will be joining friendly and welcoming team who work hard in partnership with others to keep Wrexham Safe. The control room is open 7 days a week 365 days per year 24 hours a day and therefore you would be expected to work 12 hours shifts with others and an element of lone working. The hours of work are 7-7 which includes night shifts. The role includes monitoring over 100 cameras at any one time constantly monitoring the live feeds and reacting to internal fire/intruder alarms in conjunction with the Authority security provider.

To be considered for the role, you must an eye for detail, have good record keeping skills and IT skills. You will be expected to demonstrate your judgment and have excellent written and verbal communication skills. You will need to be organised and approachable, as well as being confident and professional at all times It will be essential to demonstrate your ability to work as part of a team, use initiative to problem solve. In this role you will work closely with our partner agencies. You’ll receive full training and continued support, with plenty of opportunities for progression within Wrexham Council.
