Provide leadership to supervisors and crews to ensure work is delivered timely, safely and to the required quality.
Work with the engineering team to develop and decide upon methodologies, programmes and resource requirements.
Ensure that crews are supplied with necessary plant, equipment and materials to safely, timely and cost effectively deliver the works.
Ensure all works are carried out in line with approved method statements and safe systems of work.
Understand the expected targets / outputs required to achieve the overall programme.
Contribute to the development of short-term programmes with the engineering team.
Ensure all works are carried out in line with the required quality standards set out within the Inspection & Test Plan (ITP’s).
Day to day liaison with subcontractors and ensure works are coordinated and attendances are defined, understood and followed.
Resolve and develop solutions to deal with any issues.
Develop and train supervisors working within same section to ensure that have the same approach to the management of health & safety and quality.
Participate in weekly HSWE inspections with the construction team.
Regularly review the programme and identify risks and opportunities early.
Resolve disputes or conflicts that may occur on site and implement a just and fair culture.
Highlight and recommend appropriate training required for site operatives to carry out their duties & enhance personal development.
