**Job Title**: Temporary Warehouse Operative

**Work Location**: Jubilee Mill, Murton, York, YO19 5UT

**Hours of Work**:Working five eight-hour shifts across 7 days allocated by business need. 40 hours per week. Will include some work on weekends / Bank Holidays.

**Job type**: Full Time, Fixed Term Contract, 2 Months (initially)

**Required**:Forklift Licence is essential

**About the role**

We are looking for a Temporary Warehouse Operative to join our team at Thompsons.

In this role you will be responsible for packing feed bags and assisting the team within the Warehouse in performing day to day duties of goods receiving and goods dispatching of raw materials and feeds (bulk & bags).

Preferably applicants will have previous experience within a warehouse. An interest or background in agriculture would be advantageous.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Packing and bagging products, including lifting and carrying weights of up to 25kg.
- Accepting deliveries, safely unloading and correctly storing raw materials and other goods.
- Picking and loading products onto company vehicles for delivery and customers own vehicles if collecting.
- Managing stock rotation of raw materials and bagged feeds.
- Managing tote bins including emptying tote bin fines when required.
- Carrying out cleaning and minor repair and maintenance work in the warehouse and other site areas as required. This includes all site toilets and canteen areas.
- A point of contact and liaise with key staff within the transport, production and planning departments, ensuring operations run smoothly.
