Oaktree Childcare is looking for compassionate and dedicated **Support Workers**/ Shift Leaders to join our team at our **Residential Children's Homes** located on the Fylde Coast. In this role, you will provide essential care and support to young people in a residential setting, helping them navigate daily activities and encouraging their personal growth. Your ability to communicate effectively, implement care plans, and create a safe and nurturing environment will be key to making a positive impact in the lives of the young people you support.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Provide Compassionate Care**: Offer unconditional support to children and young people in our care, encouraging their participation in outdoor activities and fostering positive experiences.
- **Individual Support**: Guide young people according to their specific needs, supporting them in their development and helping them to build confidence and independence.
- **Record Keeping & Administration**: Maintain accurate records, including care plans, daily reports, and other administrative duties to ensure continuity of care.
- **Uphold Care Standards**: Follow company policies, national legislation, and best practices to provide the highest standard of care and ensure a safe environment for the young people and your team.
- **Safeguarding**: Take all reasonable steps to safeguard young people and staff members, promoting a safe and secure environment at all times.
- **Team Collaboration**: Work closely with the care team to ensure a consistent approach to care and support.

**Requirements**:

- **Experience**: Previous experience working with children or young people in a care or childcare setting is highly desirable.
- **Driving License**: A **full, valid driving license** is essential for the role.
- **Commitment to Care**: You should be dedicated to providing high-quality, compassionate care and willing to follow all relevant policies and procedures.
