Our client is seeking a Commercial Assistant to provide commercial, administrative and data management support to the Procurement team and Programme Management Office at our client.
You will provide commercial, administrative and data management support to the Procurement team and Programme Management Office.
The role of Commercial Assistant provides support to 4 main areas:
- Purchasing and Stores
- Framework Contracts
- Strategic Programme Contracts
- Programme Management Office
The role will be working closely with their technical and financial employees and the wider Supply Chain. It is vital this role is proactive in their co-ordination of the required information, pursuing both internal and external parties to ensure timelydelivery of information to set deadlines.
This role will be largely self-sufficient and require the post holder to deliver to timescales, ensuring the smooth running of processes within the department.
**Salary**:Up to £30k DOE (plus benefits and hybrid working)
**Commercial Assistant Requirements**:
- Educated to GCSE standard grade 4 or above (or equivalent) to include Maths and English
- Previous experience within a development/construction/purchasing related
- Excellent knowledge and use of MS Office
- Excellent literacy and numeracy skills
- Experience with data input/look-up within ERP/Accounting software
- A proven track record of working in a similar position pursuing and co-ordinating information between multiple stakeholders to strict deadlines
- Be able to demonstrate experience of working within a project management team
- Have a good level of communication skills, both verbal and written, including presentation skills.
- Previous document control and NEC 3 experience would be desirable
