Lloyd Barnes are delighted to be partnering exclusively in the recruitment of an experienced Finance Director for a Devon based charitable organisation during a period of intense change. This is an exciting opportunity within a diverse organisation thataims to leave a positive impact on the local community.

As the main Finance lead, you will provide expert Financial guidance to ensure the trust remains within budgets, is a viable organisation & that the finances are well monitored in line with current legislation.

Other Responsibilities Include:

- As the Finance Authority for the trust, validating financial projections within business strategies to ensure viability.
- Implementing financial and procurement controls in line with current legislation & organisation rules.
- Take the lead on financial management of the strategic & business planning process including providing business plans, financial reports, forecasts, KPI reports, budgets & ad hoc financial advice.
- Report any variances to the Executive to ensure financial forecasts are accurate.
- Lead the finance department by providing accurate & timely management information, effective systems & controls and excellent statutory accounting & tax compliance.
- Cashflow monitoring & forecasting.
- Creating & maintaining excellent relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Manage the finance of development projects, including tax planning, funding & structuring.
- Attend various board meetings as required to report and present information, acting as a Director on subsidiary committees.
- Risk Management.
- Act as an employer advisor for the Pension Trustee Company.
- Provide a positive & supportive leadership for the Finance team, whilst encouraging a continuous improvement culture.
- ACA/ACCA/CIMA with previous experience in a similar capacity - as an FC/FD or similar.
- Able to lead in a strategic but inspiring way.
- Strong written & verbal communication skills.
- Analytical with a strong commercial mindset.
- Experience in the charity is highly desirable.
