Yard Banksman

**Role: Yard**Banksman**
**Location: Leith Site**
**Pay Rate**:£12.98 per hour**
**Shift Pattern: Full-time, Monday to Friday with overtime available**

**What Will You Be Doing?**
- Directing safe and efficient vehicle movements within the yard
- Ensuring materials are tipped in line with the site working plan
- Monitoring incoming loads to ensure compliance
- Enforcing PPE and health & safety standards for all site visitors
- Keeping the yard area clean and tidy, particularly around the banksman shed
- Using water suppression systems to control dust
- Communicating clearly with machine operators and weighbridge staff
- Covering weighbridge operations when required
- Acting as a visible ambassador for NWH values, challenging unsafe behaviour professionally

**What Are We Looking For?**
We’re looking for someone with:

- Completed Banksman training
- A solid understanding of health and safety in a yard or industrial setting
- Confidence to communicate effectively and enforce safety standards
- Basic IT skills to support weighbridge cover
- A proactive, team-focused attitude
- Good organisational skills and attention to detail
- Experience in a quarry or recycling environment and Fire Warden training would be a bonus, but not essential.
