HSBC’s Network Management & Market Intelligence function (N2MI) is responsible for the recommendation to appoint and the subsequent monitoring of the Group’s network of agents used by all group entities or global businesses.
The N2MI team is split between core Agent Network Management, Strategic Initiatives and Market Information and Analysis. As part of N2MI’s responsibilities we monitor and appoint the HSBC Group’s cash and custody network. This Agent Bank network provides our internal clients throughout the HSBC Group with a high quality, cost effective and competitive service.
We are currently seeking a high calibre individual to join the team in the role of **Network Management Associate**
The scope of N2MI’s activities is focused on assessing the operational risk, efficiency and appropriateness of the agent.
This is a pivotal and highly varied opportunity to learn about a range of products and gain exposure across a global entity.
**In this role, you will**:
- Support of the Network Managers in the management and monitoring of the agent banks.
- Undertaking various processes and activities to deliver expected outcomes of agent risk management and business enablement within a controlled timeframe
- Coordinating and performing initial review of on-going due diligence and cyber reviews whilst maintaining and tracking legal documentation, account reconciliation and agent profiles
- Overseeing SLA process to benchmark service requirements and monitoring agent issues and remediation
- Reviewing agent costs and participating in fee negotiation and assisting and tracking migration activities whilst ensuring appropriate documentation in in place for each relationship e.g. power of attorneys, fee tariffs, service level agreements.
**To be successful in this role you should meet the following**:
- Proven background in operations, risk, compliance, audit, or relationship management with knowledge of securities services products such as custody, cash and/or collateral
- Strong analytical, control skills, high work standards and attention to detail is critical
- Excellent client-facing and written communication skills with the ability to work towards stringent deadlines
- Flexible attitude with the ability to work alone and unsupervised, but also to be a strong, contributing team player
- Good planning, assimilation and organisational skills an the ability to prioritise conflicting demands and problem solve
