Dog Handler

Kopek Security & Facilities Ltd is a national provider of canine assisted security services. As a company, we consistently strive to deliver a high standard of service.

We have an ongoing contract at a secure site in Somerset where we require a team of quality dog handlers that can meet the security standards and screening and vetting requirements for this site.

In order to be considered for this role, you **MUST** be able to provide the following:

- Passport or Birth certificate
- Right to work in the UK with no restrictions
- Drivers licence
- Proof of National Insurance number
- Full 5 year work history, backed up by HMRC records, Bank statements etc
- Current proof of address

**Rates of Pay**

£15.23 per hour. **PAYE only**

**Handler Requirements**

To apply, applicants are required to have:

- A great work ethic, a positive, can-do attitude and be a team player
- Genuine understanding of their canine partners needs/welfare
- An excellent level of written and verbal English
- A valid frontline SIA badge
- Minimum level 2 team certificate (NASDU, NTIPDU or BIPDT)
- Continuation training (CT) records
- A suitable dog of guarding breed
- Compliant dog cages with escape hatches (must provide photographic evidence)
- Vehicles must be visible with livery. Vehicle must be unbranded (no company livery)
- Warning triangles on all exits
- Public Liability Insurance

Preferred applicants will be expected to maintain/work towards a high level of proficiency along with their canine teammate through regular training and improvements.

A high level of animal welfare and care will **always** be expected
