There has never been a more exciting time to join us at Live Borders - a not for profit, registered charity delivering leisure, cultural and sport services to all communities of the Scottish Borders and beyond.

Our largest leisure facility, Teviotdale Leisure Centre in Hawick, is a busy facility, with a swimming pool, newly reopened flume, gym, exercise studios, indoor bowling hall, soft play and cafe. We currently seek two part time Leisure Assistants (Wetside) for 5 hours per week to join our team.

Duties include dealing with the public in a friendly, efficient and understanding manner at all times with first class customer service skills, lifeguarding duties, swimming teaching and if that wasn’t enough there will be cleaning and equipment set up/ take down to keep the facility clean and tidy. Ideally you will hold a National Pool Lifeguard Qualification and possess a UKCC Level 1 or 2 Teaching Aquatics qualification. Smiling faces, cheery personalities and a passion for cleaning are a must to fit our team

You will be flexible around the hours you work as these posts are specific to weekend working and are essential to the operation of the business. Further additional hours will be available on a casual ad hoc basis over week days and evenings.

We are a Scottish Living Wage Employer and from 1st April 2019, the above rate will increase to £9 per hour.

Pay: £12.40-£12.82 per hour
