**Job description**:
We are looking for a sharp, enthusiastic, hard-working, self-starter with benefits management experience. Someone who is energised, willing to learn and take on the challenge and would relish the opportunity to shape the future for Defence

If this is you, come and join this small forward deployed team We work directly into the Finance, Military and Capability (Infrastructure) team from within DIO, to deliver infrastructure capability to our Front-Line Commands.
- You will have the ability to think strategically, be able to assimilate, assess, link, prepare and link work across the portfolio delivery teams, to directly support the DEO Portfolio Director.
- DEO is Defence’s main estate transformation programme to invest in a more efficient, smaller estate. It is a complex 25-year portfolio of programmes and projects with interdependencies for asset modernisation, construction, unit, and personnel moves and land release to support future capability requirements.
- The portfolio will deliver tangible and non-tangible benefits targets for Defence and the post holder will be a key leader in driving portfolio benefit management into the delivery programmes; ensuring continuous improvements, innovative ways of working and coherence with the wider Defence and Government policy initiatives around achieve Carbon Net Zero, sustainability, social values, and wider government initiatives around levelling up.

**Responsibilities**:
Outlined are some of the responsibilities for the role:

- Provide advice and mentorship to the DEO programmes and project teams on identifying, capturing, tracking, and realising portfolio benefits.
- Management of the DEO Portfolio Benefits Realisation Plan, maintaining and continuously improving as required.
- Responsible for regular review and upkeep of key portfolio control documents, communicating and disseminating any changes to the portfolio stakeholder community.
- A key element of the role is maintaining regular contact with DEO programmes and project managers ensuring consistency of benefits and dependencies processes across the portfolio, reporting, and consolidating this for adding into senior level reports and briefings and providing critical issue and action management planning and control.
