We are looking for a childcare worker to join our out of school care team in Eaglesham
This post is for 13 hours per week, Monday-Thursday afternoons 2.45-6pm term time.
It would suit an experienced childcare professional or someone looking to start their play work career. A relevant childcare or play work qualification would be advantageous but not essential. More important is energy, enthusiasm and a passion for working with children We offer on the job training, ongoing support, flexible working hours and a competitive rate of pay of up to £10.10 per hour (dependant on qualifications and experience).
No two days are the same, so energy and creativity are a must You might be leading an arts and crafts activity, den building, doing a bit of home baking, refereeing a football match, directing a play or sailing paper boats down the river. We’re very much child centred so the only limit to what we offer is the children’s imaginations.
Requirements: Our qualified childcare practitioners should hold a relevant childcare/playwork qualification at SVQ level 7 (or equivalent). A qualification is not essential for out support worker roles however a willingness to work towards an SVQ Level 7 would be desirable. This post will require registration with SSSC at Practitioner level.
Current Salary - The rate of pay for our Qualified Practitioner role is up to £10.10 per hour dependant on qualifications/experience. Our support workers rate of pay is up to £9.75 per hour.
Hours of Work - Successful applicants should be available for our hours of service: 7.30-9.00am for breakfast club & 3-6.15pm for after school sessions. Holiday club hours are 7.30-6pm during ERC school holidays.
Flexible shift patterns are available by negotiation as we strongly believe in investing in our staff and promoting a healthy work/life balance.
