Gis Assistant

Zachary Daniels are proud to be supporting a renewable energy business based in rural Cheshire on the hunt for an ???????GIS Assistant to join the team at their modern, laidback and friendly base. As renewable energy specialists, our client is fully experiencedin the identification, design, development, construction and operation of onshore wind energy projects and is looking for a GIS Assistant to join the family.

The GIS Assistant will support the Project Development, Civils and Technical Teams providing them with the plans and drawings as required to support the various stages of our projects from site identification, design and construction and for inclusion inreports and Environmental Impact Assessments. Support will also be given to the Commercial & Legal Team in relation to landownership plans.

Key skills and requirements:

- Experienced GIS Assistant/Technician with a minimum of 2 years' experience working in a similar role.
- Relevant degree in GIS, civil engineering or similar discipline.
- Experience of using ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS extensions including Spatial Analyst.
- Experience of using AutoCAD and vehicle tracking software.
- Sourcing, preparing and analysing data to prepare graphics, metrics and reports in order to help non-GIS users understand the data.
- Other experience of computer software systems used for renewable energy projects, such as PVsyst used for solar schemes would be desirable.
- Provide technical input into engineering solutions including foundations, crane hardstands, drainage systems and culverts, excavation and earth works, access roads and public highway works.

Our clients projects are located in the UK, therefore a valid and clean driving licence is essential to travel to some of the locations to attend meetings, undertake assessments and carry out site visits.
