This is an exciting time at ANGLE and our team in Guildford are looking for a Laboratory Co-ordinator to contribute to the smooth running of the laboratory, providing support to our scientific team.

**Principal Accountabilities**:

- Ensure compliance with quality and regulatory standards of work undertaken.
- Support the laboratory Control of Substances Hazardous to Health as a risk accessor by providing relevant training to other members of staff.
- Ensure COSHH risk assessments are up to date and coordinate all activities related to COSHH management including Sevron software.
- Responsible for removal and disposal of hazardous laboratory waste.
- Responsible for monitoring laboratory document in accordance with laboratory Quality Management System (QMS).
- Recognise when a deviation has occurred and escalate following relevant site process. Actively and constructively participate in investigations, ensuring transparency on all errors.
- Support the laboratory on equipment monitoring activities as required.
- Contribute to the smooth running of the laboratory facility including processing orders, stock control, reagents preparation and other laboratory related tasks as required.
- Responsible for training and supervision of other members of staff to ensure adherence to lab standards and practices.
- Support the laboratory with updating and writing Standard Operating Procedures and Work Instructions when required.
- Identify new methods of working and improve working practices in collaboration with other team members.
- Undertake additional ad-hoc tasks as required.

**Qualifications, Experience, Knowledge and Attributes**:

- Experience of working to strict quality standards such as ISO9001 or preferably ISO13485 would be a significant advantage.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to multitask and prioritise to meet deadlines.
- Ability to work both independently with mínimal supervision as well as in a team environment.
- An eye for detail and commitment to high quality data.
- Continuous learner with a keen appetite for cross-disciplinary work.
- A flexible, can-do approach to the requirements of the job.
- Strong team player with excellent analytical, communication, and managerial skills.
- Entrepreneurial thinking and work ethic.

Due to the nature of the role, our requirement is for this position to be Guildford based, office hours, five days per week.
