**The Mechatronics Production Engineerrole overview**:
You will be responsible for analysing production yields and failure analysis reports and provide advice to both our manufacturing and continuous improvement teams in improving both manufacturing processes as well as mechanical design.

**Key Responsibilities of our Mechatronics Production Engineer**:

- Analyse process and product improvements; feedback your proposals to the CI, Design and Operations teams with a focus on DFA and DFM
- Integration of electro / mechanical automation equipment into existing production lines
- Take part in design reviews of new products with Development team. Ensuring products are designed for ease of manufacture and assembly
- Collaborate with the Development Team throughout the lifecycle of the entire product range and keep fully updated on NPI
- Review end of line failure and production yield reports
- Providing advice on the design of electromechanical testing processes that will be rolled out and used by our global manufacturing operations
- Developing product test and reliability specifications, test plans, detailed documents includes SOPs and to effectively communicate all instructions to the manufacturing/production lines in accordance with existing quality systems
- You will also be involved in the approval process for alternative components for ITL products

**Skills & Experience of our Mechatronics Production Engineer**:

- Minimum HNC/HND in a relevant engineering discipline
- Experience of design utilising mechanical or electronics CAD software packages for example PADS or Siemens NX
- PLC Programming and automation controls an advantage
- Experience in the manufacture of electro-mechanical assemblies in a high-volume environment
- Collate information from UK Development team and share with overseas Production team
- Generate assembly line layout and manufacturing cell plans, optimise for efficient product assembly
- Create concept and specification for all production equipment, liaise with manufacturers of assembly equipment
- Demonstrate knowledge of continuous improvement approaches using techniques such as 5S, Kaizen & SMED
- Create work instructions and SOP’s and other technical documentation
- Use problem solving techniques such as root cause analysis with implementation of corrective action
