On behalf of our client, a global leader and equipment provider for the Laboratory Animal Science industry, we are looking to recruit a Product Manager to help the sales team understand the customer’s needs, providing technical assistance, conducting researchand presenting specialised solutions to fulfil those needs. Duties of the role include helping to draft and set up demos, preparing technical specifications and responding to all technical queries posed by customers.

Due to continued expansion and innovation, the business is now hiring a Product Manager for the Digilab part of their business. Digilab significantly improves animal welfare as well as facility efficiency and productivity by checking and tracking 24/7 thestatus of all the cages (and animals) in the vivarium.

**Basic Requirements**:

- A degree in business, computer science, maths, science, or engineering is desirable
- Through knowledge about the different laboratory animal welfare products and their capabilities
- Analysis and attention to detail skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Organisational skills
- Have business acumen or be of a nature where this can be learnt over time
- Be able to work under pressure
- Selling skills
- Confident in handling technical resources
- Strong presentation skills and particular ability to take technical information and present in a format related to the audience, including effective demonstrations
- Customer-orientated
- Friendly, approachable and able to work under pressure
- Strong IT capabilities

**Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Conducting customer required analysis and presenting the customer with solutions
- Understanding dedicated product’s functionality and problem solving whilst ensuring the customer is fully supported
- Determining the best products to meet the requirements of a customers in conjunction with Account Managers
- Assisting the sales department
- Providing technical expertise on products and service
- Taking part in exhibitions, conventions, and other events to help in the sales of products and service
- Train colleagues and sales personnel on essential technical aspects and USP’s of a product and service
- Build and maintain an in-depth technical knowledge about the products, their working and how they can benefit the customer
- Sending technical specifications to clients and assisting in the preparation of sales quotes
- Revising and improving technical specifications and user manuals
- Available to travel to the Company headquarters in Italy for specific training sessions and also across the UK and Ireland to client sites
- Work closely with the marketing manager to provide the following:

- Digilab exposure
- Manage targeted campaigns
- Attend and or host symposiums, webinars, events etc.
- Creating marketing materials
