An exciting opportunity has arisen to become part of the Homeless Centre Team, providing supported accommodation to vulnerable families who are homeless.

The core work of the Team is ensuring that families are provided with the relevant support to assist them in securing permanent accommodation, ensuring residents adhere to the term and conditions on their licence agreements and ensuring the buildings meet and maintain health and safety standards.

In addition to supervising staff, you will provide technical support that meets with legal and service requirements, deputise for the service manager and review contractors’ performance.

There may be occasions where you will carry out the duties of your staff to ensure service continuity.

The role involves shift working covering from 8 am to 8 pm Monday to Friday with some possible weekend shifts

We look for compassionate, empathic people with good customer service and communication skills. Happy dealing with a diverse range of people, including some with vulnerabilities and multiple complex needs, you’ll be good at building trust and rapport.

Basic IT skills are important as we'll ask you to write up brief case notes and work out simple budgets for others to use; that's why we ask you to complete a simple work-based activity at interview.
