We’re looking for **FLT Drivers/Material Handlers** who want to join a growing business with big ambitions.

**4-day week (38hrs).**

**Salary**:£11.80 per hour.

**Job Types**:Full-time, Permanent, Dayshift & Nightshift (shift allowance applies for night shifft)

Washington Metalworks is a full-service fabrication company that works across the Rail / Construction / Electrical / Automotive industries in the UK and Europe.

Our strength is our diversity, which allows us to offer stable employment for nearly 250 staff at our factory in Gateshead.

We are continuing to grow as a business and we are looking to increase the number of good quality fabricators we have in-house to help with demand.

We emphasise teamwork and encourage our staff to shout up if they experience any issues or need advice/training.

**About the role**:

- You will be using a counter balance FLT to safely transport product around the factory.
- Maintain inventory levels by identifying, labelling, and recording quantity and location of stock.
- Perform routine maintenance checks on the forklift, such as checking fluid levels and inspecting for any signs of wear or damage.
- Communicate effectively with warehouse or production staff to ensure the timely and accurate movement of materials.
- Maintain a well-organized work area and storage space.
- We would like for you to have experience as an FLT driver and be able to show evidence that you have been trained by an RTITB accredited training programme.
