**Palliative Care Assistant in Washington and Chester Le Street**

**Roles and responsibilities of a Palliative Care Assistant**
- Understanding frailty and co-morbidities and other related health conditions or illness’s in palliative and end of life care

- Support families and the wider community
- Professionalism and compassion
- Using systematic approaches in palliative and end of life care.
- **Requirements** Previous experience within the health and social care sector will be REQUIRED

- NVQ/QCF Level 2 minimum in health and social care or equivalent/or working towards
- Knowledge/skills and experience in within the health and social sectors
- Good time management skills
- A good understanding of safeguarding adults
- Troubleshooting skills are necessary
- Great communication skills
- Good reporting skills both verbal and written
- Responsive in your job role and the care you deliver
- Caring and effective in the quality care you can support within your community
- Understanding the importance of infection control and the safe use of PPE
- A Clear DBS check will be required
- **A full UK driving licence**:

- **Access to a car**

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent
Part-time hours: 33 per week

**Salary**: From £10.00 per hour

Schedule:

- 10 hour shift
- 12 hour shift
- 8 hour shift
