Head of Billing Operations

Salary circa £65,000 (DOE)

Location - remote, however you will be required to travel to our site in Leicester a minimum of once a week, there will also be a requirement to travel to India periodically to work with our Billing partners.

Leading the small business billing teams across SAP and Ensek systems, the Head of Billing Operations is responsible for ensuring the production of accurate on time invoicing for our Gas and Electricity customers.

**Key Accountabilities**:

- Leading multiple teams of people based across the UK and India responsible for exception management, billing reporting and controls.
- Responsible for the development and implementation of solutions to deliver government discount schemes - EBRS, EBDS etc.
- Responsible for ensuring Small Business Invoicing complies with HMRC rules and that correct tax rates (CCL and VAT) are applied.
- Monitoring Billed to Actual performance weekly and monthly, working with digital and metering teams to ensure that long term bill estimation is reduced and risks appropriately managed.
- Develop controls and solutions to identify drivers of historic billing errors and reduce the need for corrections.
- Monitor levels of unbilled and blocked billing issues developing solutions and controls to reduce these.
- Provide complex billing and query management support to front line teams.

**Key Stakeholders**:

- Work closely with the Small Business Operations and Credit Services teams - monitoring performance and cross team impacts daily and weekly.
- Manage relationships with ENSEK on managed service functions for billing and with CBS for shared SAP Platform.
- Work closely with demand forecasting teams and front-line leadership on issues relating to bill volumes and contract drivers.

In addition, you will ideally have experience of operating in Energy / Utilities and/or Banking environments as well as being highly organised, methodical and not afraid to get involved in the technical detail You will also be leading a team so leadership experience is key.
