Audit & Accounts Senior

Our client is a leading professional services provider, with a number of regional offices and an excellent reputation in their field. They are now seeking an experienced Audit and Accounts Senior to join their team. Reporting to the Departmental Manageryou will provide a high quality service to clients and contribute to the development of the company with mínimal supervision.

**Key responsibilities;**
- Assist manager as part of audit and accounts team as required
- Act as senior on audit assignments as required
- Prepare client accounts based on information supplied by client
- Prepare business tax computations, partnership and personal tax returns
- Prepare corporation tax computations and forms CT600
- Assist with client queries regarding aspects of their bookkeeping and other business matters as required
- Prepare other client outputs, as instructed, e.g. spreadsheets
- Record own chargeable time and ensure maximum recovery
- Identify points for Manager to raise with clients and to raise potential areas for additional services including added value services and advice
- Bookkeeping, ledger maintenance, supplier maintenance and management accounts, as and when required.
- Liaise with clients to obtain relevant information for their accounts, acting in a proactive way and ensuring attention to details and effective questioning of client
- Use appropriate support networks to clarify knowledge and resolve queries on complex areas such as CCH or software vendors
**Skills and experience required**:
- Ability to prepare, conduct and supervise audits
- Ability to prepare client accounts, tax, PAYE or VAT
- Strong computer literacy
- AAT qualified or equivalent (essential)
- Minimum of 3 years audit and accounts experience within a practice environment (essential)
- Experience with cloud accounting software such as Xero (desirable)
- Experience using Mercia or CCH software (desirable)
