Clincial Stroke Sister

An exciting opportunity for experienced nurses to work within a dynamic fast paced Hyper acute stroke unit for County Durham and Darlington. We assess and admit stroke patients directly 24 hours a day, administering emergency medications. Patients are assessed by a specialist stroke nurse, consultant and therapy team.

We provide care based on the Royal College of Physicians stroke guidelines.We are looking for registered nurses who are flexible and highly motivated to join our team. The postholder will deliver a high standard of individualised stroke care. Working within a multidisciplinary team, you will provide 24/7 senior nursing within the unit. You will have the opportunity to be a specialist stroke nurse utilising clinical skills and non-medical prescribing.

The postholder will also be responsible for direct supervision of the nursing team and act as a deputy to the Senior Sister/Charge Nurse.
