**Senior Design Engineer / Design Engineer**

Dedicated To Intervention.

Our client is a high growth, UK based, Well Intervention, Production & Abandonment Tool Manufacturer. The company are recruiting for a Design Engineer to join a multi skilled team to help develop emerging products. In particular to support the developmentof Safety Valves, Packers/Plugs and E-Line tools.Experience in Coil Tubing and slickline equipment will be advantageous.

**Position**

Assist in the design and development of all Engineering related activities. Creating quality designs, drawings, and calculation packages.

The company are looking for applicants that possess the following skills and experience:

- Positive, pro-active and ability to work autonomously.
- Proven ability to develop downhole tools from concept through to deployment.
- Understanding and knowledge of common well completions
- Highly proficient with traditional calculations for downhole tool design.
- Ability to deliver presentations in a professional manner
- Preparation of clear, complete and accurate detail, assembly and layout drawings in alignment with department standards
- A high productivity of output to ensure project deliverables are met.
- Supporting the Engineering team in meeting the ongoing requirements of the business
- Liaise with clients in order to support the commercial department.
- Direct involvement in all design, test, and deployment of company Technology.

**Requirements**:
The successful applicant will be responsible working to deadlines and interfacing with customer project reviews:

- HNC or Degree qualified in relevant field (mechanical, product, electro-mechanical engineering/design)
- 2-5 years relevant engineering experience in downhole tools, ideally safety valves or e-line equipment.
- Self-motivated and able to work under pressure
- Experience with rapid turnaround on projects (e.g. 2-4 months from design to delivery)
- Good team player with sound interpersonal skills
- Good working knowledge of CAD system Solid works or Inventor.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to prioritise conflicting workloads and work to deadlines
- Offshore experience preferred but not essential.

The role is Aberdeen based with some travel required to Poole.Salary will be competitive based on relevant experience.
