**Job Purpose**
The Junior Designer will be part of a team of six designers. The main responsibility will be the hands-on production of visual marketing, communication and physical (at-event) assets for FT Live's events, which number several hundred per year. The Junior Designer will join our lively, enthusiastic and highly-skilled team which works together to ensure that FT Live is successful in maintaining and further developing a strong, sustainable events business across both digital and in-person events.

**Main Duties and Responsibilities**
- With guidance from other team members, develop new beautiful and eye catching creative routes for new events
- Work with external third-party suppliers, for example printers and video editors
- Work on several projects at the same time, and with guidance from other team members, ensure projects are correctly prioritised
- Deliver high quality work on time, to strict deadlines
- Accept, respond to and action feedback from stakeholders on designs

**Key Skills & Experience**
- A recognised design qualification
- Some previous design experience, not necessarily in a media environment
- A portfolio of exceptional design work from education and/or commercial projects
- An enthusiasm for typography
- Strong skills in Adobe Creative Cloud packages such as Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign
- A keen eye for detail
- A confident communication style, comfortable presenting ideas to peers
- Ability to work in the Mac OSX operating system, in the Google Workspace, the Adobe Creative Cloud suite and Figma (or other similar prototyping/design tool)
- A desire to develop new skills (technical, design and professional skills), and an ability to adjust to using new technologies and platforms rapidly

**Desirable skills and experience**

Knowledge of the following would be advantageous though full training will be provided:

- HTML / CSS / Javascript
- Asana or other similar project management software
- Animation and video editing packages such as Premiere and After Effects
