9:00am till 5:30pm - Monday to Friday
**Salary**:
£13,000 to £18,000 depending on experience
**Role and Responsibilities**
Exciting opportunity to work at an expanding IT Services company, established for over 16 years you will be responsible for logging and resolving calls and monitoring customer sites via help desk. You will be trained and given experience in providing ‘Hands on’ IT configuration, technical support and server administration / trouble shooting and support for day-to-day IT operations. They will provide training in trouble shooting skills.
Skills will be enhanced via workshop and labs where you will be trained in repairing, troubleshooting and installing hardware and software.
You will be providing clients with technical assistance via help desk and may be required to travel to client’s sites, both on a day-to-day basis and on project work.
You will assist in design and implementation of future IT projects with senior technicians.
Logging of Help Desk Calls
Escalating issues to 2nd and 3rd line technicians
Speaking to 3rd party vendors
Password resets, add removing devices to the network such as printers, phones, pc and other networking equipment.
Deploying Office 365
Ensure timely internal and external communications per SLA
Handle Customer calls into Network Operations whilst on shift
Project work data cabling assistant/ terminating and testing data points onsite
Ensure detailed handover to next shift of all open issues and planned maintenance
Add, remove, configure network devices, updating the monitoring system and documentation.
**Desired Qualities, Skills and Knowledge**:
Basic network/server administration
Networking knowledge
Knowledge of Windows 10 operating Systems
Understanding of VPNN and Security protocols
Driving Licence desirable, or willing to learn to drive advantageous
Flexibility to occasionally work outside of working hours if required.
Ability to use own initiative and be able to work in a fast paced and sometimes demanding environment.
Hardware and software installation, configuration and maintenance
Ability to work on your own and part of a team
Organisational skills
Good Verbal and Communications Skills
Fast Learner and a desire to learn.
Motivated to work & learn, Positive attitude
Enthusiastic about our business & client businesses
Good reading and writing skills
Installation and configuration of hardware and software
excellent communication skills as this role is very customer facing.
