Support Worker

We are currently recruiting for passionate, caring and flexible support workers to work with vulnerable adults with complex needs and behaviours that challenge.
This rewarding role will be based in a supported living home in Northampton and will involve safeguarding and supporting service users to make informed choices and decisions that respects their dignity and rights.
As a Support Worker, you will be required to provide day to day support to help individuals live a good quality of life and to achieve their individual outcomes.
**Duties will include**:
- Accessing work, training, and education
- Attending leisure activities and keeping in touch with family and friends.
- Ensuring service users maintain good health and hygiene, which will involve carrying out personal care e.g supporting with going to the bathroom, showering, dressing, and administering medication.
- Managing behaviours that challenge.
- Devising and implementing support plans and risk assessments
- General administration and report keeping.
- Managing personal budgets
Working hours are 37hours per week and you will be required to work on a rota/ shift system which will include working days, nights, weekends, and bank holidays. You will also receive enhanced payments for night and sleep-in shifts.
**To be considered for this role you must**:
- Have at least 12 months experience working with vulnerable adults with complex needs.
- Experience of working with challenging behaviour and have physical intervention/restraint training.
- Be passionate about supporting service users to achieve their individual outcomes.
**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
**Salary**: £9.60-£10.50 per hour
