**Extrusion Setter**

As a key member of the extrusion shift team, you will control the process in line with the manufacturing plan through effective continual maintenance of product quality to given standards.

Initially you will work days during your training then the role will become 2 days 2 night then 4 off please note the shift start at 7.00am/pm

£31,400 when training increasing to £36,400

**Key responsibilities**:

- Responsible for setting and maintaining the process to standards making process adjustments to minimise material usage within agreed limits
- Ensuring pre-start-up check sheets are completed and signed off
- Start up extrusion lines gaining specification as directed
- Measure product during start up process
- Record line running conditions in a timely manner
- Minimise material usage and wastage
- Complete all required administration tasks involved with the process
- Carry out fault finding and running repairs in order to maintain production efficiency and keeping shift production supervision informed
- Ensure that the required specifications and quality of the pipe are correct

**Person spec**:

- A team player that can also confidently solve problems alone if required
- An effective and thorough communicator, both verbally and through technical documentation, able to liaise professionally at all levels across the business
- A professional approach to coaching/training

**Required Knowledge/Skills**:

- Knowledge and experience of an extrusion environment including shift working
- Takes ownership and responsibility comfortably with due understanding of the limits of authority
- IT literate
