Assistant Family Support Worker

Yardley District Children's Centre is a targeted service for families with children aged 0-5 years. The Family Support team holds 1-1 caseload work and facilitates group work for families in Yardley and surrounding areas.
This is an exciting opportunity to become part of a passionate and experienced team. We are seeking a full time Assistant Family Support Worker to provide support and assistance to the parents/carers of the children we work with within our district. The Assistant Family Support Worker will hold a caseload and meet with families on a regular basis providing a 12 to 24 week package of support intervention, initiating Early Help Assessments to identify the families targeted needs. Our aim is to empower the families with new knowledge and skills, while also building resilience and providing essential emotional and practical support.
As the role requires district wide working driving a full driving licence and use of your own vehicle would be an advantage.
The working pattern for this role is Monday to Friday 9am - 5pm but may include some occasional evenings. Barnardo's believe in creating equality of opportunity in the workplace and supporting people to manage their work-life balance and are therefore open to offering flexible working arrangements.
