Our focus are Dealer, Press and public events with motorcycles The Operations Supervisor is a key position, and your role will be in the UK and Europe **Key responsibilities**: Deliver our events to a high and most importantly safe standard Manage and organise our teams on the above events to provide the aims as set out above Forward plan and organise for each event including the movement of staff, vehicles, and event collateral Work alongside the Logistics team in the office and on the road, and assist in the movement of customer and manufacturer stock, bikes and materials. Be prepared for changes that can and will happen approaching an event or during an event, and be able to adapt and react to that change in the best interests of the company, customer and most importantly safety Be able to multi-task at all times and support other members of staff in their roles, and realise the position crosses all areas of the business Adopt a positive and motivational approach to engender a culture of professional behaviour and customer care at all times. Ensure all procedures are effectively and efficiently undertaken by all staff and that all activities are undertaken in line with all relevant statutory regulations and legislation affecting the business Communication (to MD), boosting and maintaining team motivation Be able to bring new ideas to the company, and mature them from inception to reality. Evaluation of current events and making revised plans for next events in advance Liaising with external and internal departments, dealing with and following up issues is a business priority **Skills required**: A varied skill set is required, including some Race Circuit event experience as a participant or work experience. Road riding skills are important, and on any given day you will be interacting with clients or manufacturers. A great Events Manager has skills and experience in various areas of event planning and customer service. A motorcycle licence is a requirement. However, a Class 1 licence would in addition be an additional advantage. Innovative and creative PC skills Competitive instinct and be able to work under pressure, within a target-orientated environment. Strong team motivational skills. Ability to manage difficult situations in a calm and effective manner Multi-tasking is imperative to the role A strong sense of pride and organisation You will have excellent communication skills and be able to offer a high standard of customer service. You must have a full and preferably clean, car and motorcycle licence. Have a strong sense of teamwork and goal achieving, and setting, promoted with a high degree of motivation to the team. Understand that events are not a 9 to 5, or Monday to Friday. They require an acceptance of being in a "lifestyle role" The ability and desire to achieve results and deliver the company product in a professional timely manner. Will be hands-on with a “make it happen” attitude. Due to the type of business, this role will involve some weekend work at various UK and European locations All travel, hotel and food costs are included Final Statement from FE: If you want to work in the motorcycle industry and have a love for 2 wheels, this could be the position for you. However it is demanding and although may look like a fairy-tale, is actually extremely challenging. But if the challenge is met and delivered, the sense of achievement as a motorcyclist, cannot be measured. When the event is actually happening and you are that person that created this 2 wheel event, the sense of achievement is immense.
