**Zenith People are working with our client who are looking to recruit an experienced Operations/Project Manager on a permanent basis.**

Reporting into the Operations Director, you will be responsible for overseeing several key members of staff whilst ensuring the total performance of the Project at both internally and externally from other Project Managers to Clients, Sub-Contractors, suppliersand H&S Consultants. This vacancy is crucial to the business and would suit an experienced Operations Manager looking for the next step in their career.

**Main Objectives**:

- To play a crucial role to ensure the total performance of the Project
- Maintain all project reporting protocol
- To act as a communicator between the client and delivery team inclusive of sub-contractors and consultants
- To ensure compliance of the site and that the site is under control and adheres to Company Policy and Procedures, especially Safety related

**Duties and responsibilities**:

- Motivate, support and manage the Site Team. Provide training, coaching, appraisal and support as required to improve their performance.
- Control site preliminary costs in accordance with budget.
- Plan and programme work methods and build sequence on sites under his/her control.
- Ensure that reporting and plans are completed and updated within stipulated timeframes.
- As the main communicator between the client and delivery team inclusive of sub-contractors you will be responsible for the following:

- Regularly visit sites and ensure sub contractors provide weekly progress reports as well as sending weekly reports to clients.
- Hand over the completed project to the maintenance engineer, using the commissioning report and the documented process as well as a site visit.
- Ensuring that all necessary resources and information are made available to achieve programme dates or any other target dates that may be set from time to time. Ensure that these are kept up to 'real time’ and that all amendments are approved by the Operationsmanager / director.
- Inspect quality of work during installation process and give advice to the site team as may be necessary ensure that drawings and schematics are kept up to date as the installation process continues.
- Inspect record books on site relating to Health and Safety.
- Ensure that costs are being controlled efficiently and that all resources are being used effectively. Give necessary advice as may be required.
- Set up and maintain a daily reporting procedure each day he/she and/or the Construction Manager / Director is aware of labour, subcontractor, materials shortages that are holding back progress.
- Check and analyse sub-contractor reports and client communication received from site before these are forwarded to the operations Director.
- Manage the sites to ensure that there is a chain of accountability through the sites ensuring timeframes and designs are adhered to as outlined in the project plan.
- Using manufacturer’s specifications and ensure that no warranties are voided through the incorrect use of the product.
- Ensuring that installs are as per designs and are keeping within industry standards and legislation.
- Work with the document 'client responsibilities’ and ensure the terms are adhered to otherwise the charges applicable are invoiced to the client.

**Commissioning**
- Work with other team members to carry out commissioning as a team.
- Oversee the mechanical commissioning of all valves and pumps in accordance with the design spec.
- Work with the Electrical Controls team to carry out electrical checks relatable to the Project.
- Tune and refine the system to achieve maximum efficiency.

**Administration and Health and Safety**
- Oversee weekly and annual site reports for the client from site supervisors.
- Ensure all Health and Safety documentation is kept up to date
- Ensure that the plan on Microsoft Project (or similar system) is adhered to or amended after consultation with the operation manager and director.
- Comply with all company health and safety policies and procedures, including hazard, incident and accident reporting.
