**PAYROLL & FINANCE OFFICER**

**Finance Department, Benenden School**

**Full Time, All Year Round (37.5 hours per week)**

**Salary: In the range £39,821 to £42,241 dependent on experience**

Reporting to the Finance Bursar, the Payroll & Finance Officer will manage the payroll function and support the day-to-day operations within the finance department, with a particular focus on the School’s non-fee income streams.

Main duties entail managing all aspects of the payroll function, including pensions reporting and line management of the Payroll Administrator, together with taking the lead for the school’s non-fee income streams. Previous payroll and finance experience is essential. Experience in a school role and knowledge of iTrent, Sage and iFinance would be advantageous but is not essential.

Applicants should be hard working, flexible and able to adapt to changing priorities; be able to assist other roles within the team and step in to provide cover during absence or assist during busy periods.

Benenden is one of the leading day and boarding schools in the country. Founded in 1923, Benenden School is situated in 250 acres of attractive parkland in Kent, the Garden of England. There are 550 girls in the School, aged 11-18.

Meals are provided to staff whilst on duty. The School’s leisure facilities, including a fitness gym and swimming pool, are available for staff to use.
