**TEAM**
The Fatigue Risk Management System (FRMS) department consists of a small team of ten Subject Matter Experts who ensure that crew members remain sufficiently alert to perform their duties safely and effectively. FRMS provides services for all three AOCs. We are looking for an individual who shares our passion for fatigue risk management and who sets high standards and aspirations for themselves and their work, thereby helping us retain our position as industry leaders in our field of expertise.

**JOB PURPOSE**

The FRMS Safety Officer supports the FRMS Safety function by processing and investigating fatigue reports from crew, taking part in the planning and delivery of activities for associated research including APEX (Alertness and Performance Examination studies) undertaking analysis of roster metrics and predictive/bio-mathematical model output, and evaluating scientific research for incorporation into FRMS risk assessments. The FRMS Safety Officer may also be called upon to help deliver Fatigue Risk Management training and to support crew communication and liaison initiatives, including base visits and attendance at safety meetings.

**Requirements of the Role**
**KEY SKILLS REQUIRED**

Proven analytical ability and strong attention to detail.

Detailed knowledge and understanding of fatigue science, the FRMS manual, FTL, FRF policy, FACT and the interaction between operational safety, prescriptive regulation and the wider airline business.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build effective relationships.

Ability to communicate complex technical information into simple language.

Fluency in MS Excel, Access, PowerPoint and Word.

Experience of AIMS or a similar resource, or manpower planning, tool.

Ability to work on own initiative as well as part of a team, to predefined deadlines prioritising workload as required.

Adaptability and flexibility within a team environment.

A commitment to safety combined with an appreciation of commercial business expectations.

**LOCATION & HOURS OF WORK**
This role is based in LTN, and will be 40 hours per week. The actual days and hours of work will be agreed in advance in accordance with Hybrid Working principles.
