Based in Wakefield, West Yorkshire, we are expanding our Consultancy Team and are looking for a motivated and proactive Trainee Energy Consultant to join us. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate or someone early in their energy or sustainability career to gain hands-on experience in the energy consultancy sector.

**Job Role**
Reporting to a Senior or Principal Energy Consultant, the Trainee Energy Consultant will assist in delivering a wide range of energy-related projects and support services. You will work closely with experienced consultants and internal teams to learn the fundamentals of energy data analysis, auditing, and client communication.

**Key Responsibilities**
As a Trainee Energy Consultant, your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

- Assisting in the preparation of Energy Audit Reports using in-house tools and 3D modelling software;
- Supporting data analysis of building energy usage to identify potential energy savings;
- Helping to prepare technical reports and client presentations under supervision;
- Working with the team to investigate energy performance issues and support ongoing projects;
- Learning to use compliance and energy management systems such as C365Cloud;
- Supporting senior consultants in project coordination and delivery;
- Participating in site visits, surveys, and client meetings where appropriate;
- Keeping up to date with developments in energy efficiency, compliance regulations, and sustainable building practices.

**Skills / Experience / Attributes**
**Technical**:

- A degree (or working towards) in a relevant field such as Energy, Environmental Science, Engineering, Architectural Technology, Building Surveying or Sustainability;
- Interest in energy management, energy reduction, or compliance within buildings;
- Good data handling skills, with working knowledge of Microsoft Excel;
- Ability to learn new software tools quickly

**Professional**:

- Good written and verbal communication skills;
- A proactive attitude and willingness to take initiative;
- Strong attention to detail and analytical thinking;
- Organised, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines;
- A team player with a collaborative mindset.

Pay: £24,500.00-£28,000.00 per year
