Bookkeeping opportunity with a firm of Chartered Accountants based in York.

**Responsibilities**:

- General bookkeeping.
- VAT returns.
- Process sales and purchase invoices for many different clients.
- Bank reconciliations.
- Maintain and reconcile purchase and sales ledgers for a number of clients.
- Journals

Individual:

- Previous bookkeeping experience gained within an accountancy practice or an accounts assistant/bookkeeper from industry seeking a practice move
- Experience of Sage, Xero and other accounting software
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
- Organised and methodical
- Client focused
- Ability to work under own initiative

Salary is dependent upon experience.
