**Job description**

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an Recreational Activities Coordinator to join our team.

**Duties include but are not limited to**:

- Assist with planning weekly activities in line with the requests and choices of the residents
- Enhance the wellbeing of residents through stimulating social and physical activities
- Ensure the emotional, social, physical and intellectual needs of the residents are listened to and met
- Assess needs and plan individual activities for residents who are unable to participate in group activities
- Motivate the care team, promote the importance of activities and contribute to the caring culture of the Home

**Requirements**:

- Excellent communicator both written and verbal
- Show an empathetic, warm and cheerful personality
- Ability to put creative ideas into practice
- Experience of working with the elderly would be preferred but not essential
- Experience in activities for older people will be an advantage
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
- Have the flexibility and willingness to work shifts, including alternate weekends
- Computer skills essential

**Salary**: £10.00-£12.00 per hour
