Slice of Cornwall isn’t your average café. We’re a buzzing, modern brunch spot and restaurant set in a chilled spot on the Helford, just outside Falmouth. We run on good vibes, great coffee, proper food, and a team that’s passionate about making every service feel special.

**The Role**

As a **Coffee & Service Team**, you’ll be part of the engine room that keeps service smooth, guests happy, and coffees looking sharp. You’ll pull perfect shots, pour silky flat whites, and make customers feel right at home. On the FOH side, you’ll be welcoming, upbeat, and quick on your feet — making sure our guests have the best possible Slice experience.

**What You’ll Do**

**Barista Life**
- Run the barista station like a pro — crafting consistently top-level coffees (and latte art that makes people smile).
- Keep the station sharp: clean, stocked, and ready to go.
- Work with the MD's to develop drinks, nail the details, and keep standards high.
- Share your skills — training teammates to build confidence on the machine.

**Front of House Vibes**
- Meet, greet, and look after customers — making their visit feel smooth, friendly, and memorable.
- Take orders confidently using our POS system, handle payments, and keep service flowing.
- Deliver plates, drinks, and smiles to tables in line with Slice’s service style.
- Stay switched on to allergy awareness and communicate clearly with customers and the kitchen.

**Stock & Equipment**
- Checking in deliveries and rotating stock (FIFO is your friend).
- Look after kit, report any issues and maintenance to Managers.
- Keep the place tidy and safe — clean as you go, and always be proactive with H&S.

**Team Energy**
- Keep communication open and positive with chefs, FOH, and management.
- Jump in wherever needed — we’re all about teamwork, not egos.
- Bring ideas, energy, and a proactive approach every shift.

**What You Bring**
- Previous barista/FOH experience in a busy café or restaurant.
- Proper coffee-making skills and love for hospitality.
- A positive, upbeat, and friendly personality that lifts the team.
- Ability to stay calm and organised when it gets busy.
- Strong communication, initiative, and team spirit.
- Food hygiene knowledge (Level 2 ideal, but training can be provided).
- Attention to detail and pride in quality.

**Job Type**: Part-time

Pay: £12.21-£12.39 per hour

Expected hours: 4 - 16 per week
