We are industry leaders in the design, build and installation of GRP safety products and we're looking for an experienced stores person to join our team.

You are responsible for the efficient and safe storage, retrieval and issue of stock items within the company's stores, maintaining the inventory of stock items, and ensuring products and tools are available to the production and site teams at all times. In addition, you are responsible for the organisation and packing of site toolboxes, as well as accurate tracking of tool movement and repair. This position reports to the Workshop Supervisor and is based in Factory Lane, Brantham.

Please note this is not a retail role.

**Duties and Responsibilities**
- Receiving deliveries and checking quantities against paperwork, and maintaining an efficient goods inward area
- Storage of stock within the stores in an organised and safe manner at all times
- Liaise with the production team and Project Admin regarding the issuing of correct tools and equipment in a prompt manner
- Manage and maintain the trade counter for our tool distributorship
- Check delivery/receipted quantities against paperwork, and maintaining an efficient goods inward area
- Liaising with Management regarding entering of stock data on to the computer system
- Ensure all tools, tool consumables and toolboxes are maintained and procedures adhered to and kept secure at all times
- Update and maintain accurate database of tool movement
- PAT testing on all company tooling and equipment (training provided)
- To ensure health and safety standards are maintained at all times throughout the storage areas, whilst utilising the limited capacity in the most efficient manner
- Work as part of a team to provide excellent customer service, both internal and external
- To work steadily under pressure from production deadlines whilst still ensuring good standards of stock control
- Ability to use and maintain power hand tools
**Experience & Skills**
- Previous experience in a similar stores environment (not retail)
- Good numerical skills
- PC literate
- Excellent organisational and administrative skills
- Experience of working in a manufacturing/production environment

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: £10.50 per hour
