**The Role**:
Essex County Council (ECC) is seeking a Mobile Library Supervisor to enhance the delivery of library services to communities with mobility or geographical constraints. This role involves supervising the mobile library service, maintaining high levels of customer care, and being a key point of contact for public access to council services.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Welcome library users and deliver quality service at mobile and base locations.
- Manage stock circulation procedures using online library systems.
- Maintain and clean mobile library vehicles in accordance with daily log requirements.
- Deliver books and equipment as needed.
- Ensure compliance with Health, Safety & Welfare policies.
- Participate in training and development initiatives.
- Promote and market library services effectively.

**What You Bring**:

- Current HGV Class 2 driving licence and ability to drive a 12-ton vehicle.
- Experience driving large vehicles and performing routine vehicle checks.
- Minimum age of 21 years (for insurance purposes).
- Proficiency in using online IT systems.
- Strong customer service skills and experience working with diverse communities.
- Knowledge of Health and Safety procedures and Data Protection (GDPR).
