General Assistant

TLH Leisure Resort, which includes the TLH Derwent, TLH Victoria, TLH Toorak, and TLH Carlton Hotels, offers a range of accommodation and leisure facilities for our local community and the wider guest market.

We are now recruiting for a General Assistant to work across all four of our Hotels within the complex. You will primarily be working as part of the Portering and Bar’s team, the hours of work will vary based upon business needs but it is expected that you will work a minimum of three days a week.

**What we're looking for**:
This is a diverse role that will give the successful applicant the opportunity to work alongside a range of people within the organisation. Ideal for those who enjoy a varied workload or are looking for the opportunity to learn about all aspects of the hospitality industry.

Your role will include:

- To pour and deliver drinks from the bar, in a professional and friendly manner
- Ensure bar areas are clean, tidy and presentable
- Re-stock as required and ensure all bar resource is organised and accounted for
- To use the till on the bar to process payments and log purchases
- Up-sell and provide good knowledge of stock with the company bars
- Representing the business with a positive attitude and professional appearance
- Providing customer support and use of resources and product knowledge to assist customers queries
- Tend to the needs of guests or customers for the duration of their stay
- Deal with room servicing requests and Luggage handling
- Ensure that all tasks are completed on each shift that a full and thorough handover takes place at the end of the shift.
- Check in late arrivals and check out early departures in line with hotel procedure
- Provide efficient and friendly internal support to all departments
- Carry out cleaning duties inside and outside of the hotel
- Set up and clean down of entertainment, conferencing and meeting rooms, inclusive of food and beverage service for events and some hotel operations
- Carry out Health and Safety checks around the Hotel and adhere to all Health and Safety Regulations and company policy
- Reporting of maintenance jobs
- Co-ordinate in the event of a fire evacuation in line with company training.

**Hours & rate of pay**:
£9.20 per hour. The hours will be varied each week however the successful applicant will be able to work evenings in the Bar from 5pm to Finish, or night shifts that typically run from 10.30pm to 7am.
