JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

*To be responsible for the day-to-day handling of all soiled and clean linen.
*Deliver clean linen to all floors and properly stack the linen cupboard.
*To collect soiled linen from the cupboards.
*To count, sort, and rotate linen.
*To ensure all soiled linen is placed in the correct areas at the correct time.
*To restock cupboards each day with linen, toiletries.
*To turn the mattresses every three months.
*To check all laundry in and out, ensuring all documentation is checked and completed as necessary.
*Process guest and staff laundry and dry cleaning and make sure that charges are raised and processed accordingly.
*To report all linen discrepancies to Head Housekeeper.
*To carry out carpet and upholstery cleaning, as and when required.
*To check in all Housekeeping supplies deliveries and put them in the store rooms.
*To keep storage areas clean and tidy and stocked up.
*Keep Head Housekeeper informed of any problems where necessary.
*To be responsible for linen room keys, following signing in and out procedures.
*Communicate effectively and follow up instructions.
*To report any maintenance problems in the linen room to the Head Housekeeper.
*To follow the correct procedure for lost property.
*To make sure the linen room is locked and secure at the end of your shift.
*To attend any meetings requested or training courses where necessary.
*Ensure a pleasant and courteous manner to all guest and colleagues at all times.
*Understand customer care and provide quality service.
*handle guest queries in accordance with company standards.
*To train new employees to the required standard.
*Demonstrate good time keeping and attendance.
