Scotts of Thrapston is a family run business based in Northamptonshire. We are a 102-year-old, manufacturing business of high-quality timber products. We have and continue to supply products into the high-end markets of all areas of equestrian accommodation from private individuals to the racing power houses of the Godolphin racing yards.

We are now looking for an enthusiastic, dynamic, confident, and personable Salesperson to join our head office team.

You will have a passion for sales and are target driven. You'll be part of a close-knit team helping our diverse customers from initial conception through to completion.

**The main responsibilities of the job role involves the following duties**:

- Develop and maintain the existing pipeline to continuously grow the business and generate sales
- Responsible for assisting with our customers initial enquiry, arranging site visits and design consultations
- Complete all necessary administration and sales quotations
- Assisting the line manager
- Build relationships with new clients, gauging their needs and developing proposals to select the best product
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure successful onboarding and ongoing support requirements.

**Personal attributes**

You will be an excellent communicator who is highly motivated, extremely flexible, with a 'can do' attitude. You will need the following attributes to be successful in the role:

- Possess at least a year of sales experience - face-to-face
- Have equine knowledge - but not essential
- Can use a consultative selling approach to develop long term relationships
- Be prepared to travel - a driving licence is essential
- Have an amazing ability to offer great customer service
- Be friendly, driven, honest and enthusiastic
- Prepared to attend exhibitions
