Our organisation is at a crucial stage on our scaling journey requiring enhancement to our team in relation to our financial reporting function. We are searching for a purpose driven and diligent financial lead to assist in the reporting of financial information for decision making purposes within the business.
**Role Summary**
Reporting directly to the Finance Director, the Financial Lead will have full responsibility for the preparation of the Group management accounts and supervision of the operation of our financial control environment.
You will support the Finance Director with project planning and execution in addition to performing ad hoc analysis and modelling work for strategic decision making.

You will pro-actively support our Senior Leadership Team (“SLT”) in respect of their financial information requirements.
This is a newly created role for our business and we expect the responsibilities to evolve as we continue to grow. This is an exciting opportunity for a professional accountant to join an organisation on a fast growth journey and be a fundamental part of that trajectory.
**Key responsibilities**:
- Preparation of monthly consolidated management accounts pack and any supporting Board information
- Support the Finance Director in creation of organisational forecasts and monitoring performance against assumptions
- Responsibility for monthly reporting requirements to key shareholder entity in Germany
- Ownership of organisational budgets and reporting to the SLT on performance against budget
- Key liaison with external financial accountants preparing the necessary supporting information to allow preparation of the statutory financial statements and taxation compliance matters
- Play a key role in the implementation of ERP and transition from existing financial reporting system, identifying efficiencies and automating process as far as possible
- Drive and lead improvements in the financial control framework with ongoing review of processes to ensure robust and efficient
- Assist in the development of a robust financial reporting mechanism for project delivery and NPD activity
- Support the Finance Director in the creation of a shared service centre finance team subsequent to merger and formulate an optimum financial reporting framework
- Lead, coach and develop the existing finance team to support their development and learning in the organisational journey
**What you’ll bring**

- Recognised professional accountancy qualification
- Experience in preparation of consolidated management accounts and project accounting
- Understanding of ERP operation, Quikbooks and SAGE (but not essential)
- Advanced proficiency in MS excel and/or Google Sheets
- Highly organised with excellent attention to detail
- Ability to multi-task and good at prioritising
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Accurate & clear written skills
- Positive attitude to work
- Work well under pressure
- Assertive but flexible personality to meet the changing needs of the team and scaling business
- A strong team player with a track record of development/training and knowledge sharing
