**Kinmylies Lodge is an 18-bedded specialist mental health home** in the peaceful suburbs of Inverness, surrounded by stunning views of the mountains and canal. We support adults recovering from mental health illnesses, providing a safe, therapeutic, and homely environment where residents can rebuild confidence, develop life skills, and take positive steps towards greater independence.

**About the Role**

As a **Support Worker**, you’ll play a vital role in the recovery journey of our residents. This is not just about delivering care - it’s about empowering people to live fulfilling lives, grow in independence, and achieve their personal goals.

On a typical day you might:

- Support residents with personal care in a way that respects dignity.
- Encourage independent living skills, such as cooking, shopping, and budgeting.
- Join in with activities that promote social interaction and confidence.
- Accompany residents to appointments, community events, or day trips.
- Offer emotional support, reassurance, and practical help during daily challenges.
- Support residents preparing for more independent living in our self-contained flats.

**What We’re Looking For**

We’re looking for people who want to make a difference in **mental health care**. You don’t need to have prior experience in this area - what matters most is your attitude and values.
- A genuine passion for supporting people on their mental health recovery journey.
- Patience, empathy, and kindness.
- A sense of humour and a positive outlook.
- Reliability and trustworthiness.
- SVQ Level 2 (or equivalent in Health and Social Care) - desirable but not essential, as training is provided.
