**The Exciting Role**
A new and exciting opportunity has become available for a Counter Supervisor to join our Refectory team on a permanent basis. The role involves working 32 hours per week, on a 40 week per year contract.

The role will be based at our Nelson & Colne College campus, but travel to other sites may be required.

**What You Will Be Doing**:

- Overseeing the front-of-house operations of the busy college Refectory, ensuring efficient and effective service, maintaining high standards of food hygiene and customer service.
- Assisting with the serving of meals, ensuring correct portion control and allergen awareness.
- Assisting with general kitchen duties including cleaning.
- Taking responsibility for regular ordering and stock control.
- Support the Catering Manager with maximising profitability within the college catering service. For example: upselling, minimising waste, portion and stock control.
- Responding to any day-to-day technical point of sale issues which may arise.

**What We Are Looking For**:

- Experience of working within a busy, high volume, catering operation.
- Experience in customer service.
- Possess excellent communication and relationship building skills.
- A team player who can display initiative, be positive and enthusiastic.
- Basic food hygiene certificate.
- Demonstrate a commitment to equality and diversity, customer service and quality assurance.
- Suitability to work with children, young people and/or vulnerable adults.
- Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines.
