**The Opportunity**

We have the opportunity for you to join our team as Raw Materials Technologist.

Within this role you will be the key on-site supplier contact and will develop mutually beneficial working relationships ensuring all ingredients and packaging delivered to site are inspected against a defined set of criteria and risk assessed schedule.
- To coordinate supplier KPI’s and review criterion. Ensuring compliance with customer and legislative requirements.
- To manage Raw Materials section within Technical Department, with direct responsibility for Raw Materials Administrator(s).
- To maintain a record of all foreign bodies found in raw materials along with any relevant investigation in the factory.
- Conduct raw material risk assessments on ready to eat materials.
- Manage, check and sign off raw material specifications on Foods Connected.
- To ensure systems are maintained and updated for site.

- Ideally raw materials or QA experience dealing with product quality and having a full understanding of the process interactions.
- Ideally having previous supplier contact and positive interaction.
- Full understanding of all QA Department systems.
- An assertive, proactive problem solver.
- A good understanding of techniques used to measure quantitatively / qualitatively raw ingredient / packaging conformance against specification.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Computer literate in terms of SAP (desirable), Excel and Word. The degree of competence reflects the ability to work spreadsheets, manipulate figures and present graphical representation.
