Rusthall Lodge is a not-for-profit organisation providing high quality care services for older people.

As a Care Home Receptionist you will be responsible for providing a comprehensive reception and telephone support service to the Care Home team, visitors and telephone callers.

**Your Skills**:

- First point of contact dealing with both calls and visitors to the home, including family members and external medical professionals

**Requirements**:
Duties will include but not limited to:

- To greet all visitors to Rusthall Lodge and request that they check and out by entering their details in the visitors’ book to comply with CQC Regulations.
- To ensure the reception area is kept neat and tidy
- To ensure that all sensitive material is placed in the reception drawer at the end of each day.
- Process receipts of monies against Residents Personal accounts and maintain records
- Operate office equipment such as scanner, photocopier and computer as required
- Answer the telephone within five rings
- To respond to enquiries from Residents and Visitors and direct enquiries in a friendly and efficient manner.
- All calls to be introduced to the relevant person and when required taking and relaying messages.
- To receive, distribute newspapers and mail to appropriate Nurses stations.
- To deliver all incoming post to the appropriate member of staff.
- To maintain supplies of all relevant forms
- To prepare staff name badges
- To ensure that sufficient photocopy paper is left on a Friday.
- To ensure that all outgoing post is sent on time
- To monitor and maintain stationery supplies, send order forms to each department on a monthly basis, collating requests and liaising with the Finance Manager prior to making order.
- To ensure that the Reception desk is not left unattended for long periods and to carry the mobile phone when absence is necessary; including taking a coffee break.

To comply with necessary Health & safety Procedures

To undertake other tasks and duties as required.

**Notes**

This job description is intended to reflect the major elements of the post and may be amended in light of organisational and service changes in conjunction with the post holder.

Pay: From £11.50 per hour
