Programme Surveyor

We currently have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Surveyor to join our Property Services directorate on a permanent basis.

This role is to support our growing External Contracts & Delivery team and an exciting opportunity to help and support the Platform ambition to build more homes and invest in our existing properties.

You will be managing investment works and related issues within the Witham Locality to ensure stock is maintained, customer satisfaction is increased, as will be contributing to the development and delivery of Platform’s Asset Management Strategy.

**Some of the things we are looking for**:

- Significant experience in the housing or construction industry
- A sound understanding of construction to deliver a broad range of property related activities
- A relevant technical qualification in construction or building services (e.g., HNC/ HND in building studies or equivalent)
- Experience of successfully managing a team including external contractors to deliver programmes of maintenance works
- Experience of customer consultation in a construction setting
- Knowledge of building construction, maintenance, contracts and procurement.
- Good management skills to lead and direct project teams and liaise with external contractors
- Willingness to have difficult conversations with colleagues, customers and management whilst modelling the organisations core values
- Knowledge of Building safety regulations, particularly CDM, asbestos management, site safety management and fire safety requirements

**_ Although this role is home based, it is essential to have a full UK driving license and the ability to travel around properties within our Witham locality (Please see the attached map highlighting the locality area). _**_Your business travel will be reimbursed as per the inland revenue mileage rates._
