Lived Experience Co-ordinator

Are you passionate about Peer Support, lived experience and recovery? Would you like to develop and embed the Peer Support Worker role to ensure that lived experience and co-production are at the heart of mental health services?
We are looking for an enthusiastic and empathetic individual who can champion lived experience, recovery and co-production within this role so that the proven benefits of lived experience in mental health recovery are recognised and utilised at every level. This person would be working within the Mental Health Division and throughout the wider trust to develop and embed the role of Peer Support to ensure that support structures and opportunities for development are in place so that Peer Support Workers across the Trust feel valued and supported within their roles. The post holder will also be working closely with the Lived Experience and Co-production Lead to support the engagement of patients, service users, carers and staff in involvement and co-production activities.
- To develop and embed robust operational structures to support the recruitment, induction, training and development of Peer Support Workers, enabling them to feel empowered, and supported to thrive within their roles.
- To promote and develop the role of Peer Support across the Trust, ensuring there is readiness within teams and consistency in the delivery of peer support, with a joined-up approach throughout all divisions allowing for progression within lived experience roles.
- To support the Lived Experience and Co-production Lead to engage those with lived experience of accessing mental health services in co-production activities across the Mental Health Division
- To support the Lived Experience and Co-production Lead in the communication of co-production activities across the mental health division to staff and those with lived experience of accessing mental health services through utilising social media, internal and external communications
- To manage, develop and embed the role of Recovery Champion throughout the Trust to help promote positive recovery values and co-production activities among staff who are committed to supporting the recovery agenda
